Announced today, Chicago punk quartet Rise Against will tour to Australia and New Zealand, joined by Boston’s rock ‘n’ roll underdogs turned champions, Dropkick Murphys.

Produced by Live Nation, this year will see Rise Against tour with Dropkick Murphys tour in November and December to Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. The tour kicks off in Aotearoa, New Zealand where they play at Otautahi, Christchurch’s Wolfbrook Arena on 21 November and at Tamaki Makaurau, Auckland’s Spark Arena on 24 November before heading to Australia. John Cain Arena in Melbourne is the first Australian stop on 26 November, followed by Riverstage, Brisbane on 29 November, a performance On The Steps at Sydney Opera House Forecourt on 1 December, with the final show at Red Hill Auditorium, Perth on 4 December. Both bands will also appear alongside The Living End and Jebediah at Meltdown taking place at The Entertainment Grounds in Gosford on Saturday 28 November.

Live Nation today announced the Australian and New Zealand leg of Post Malone’s The BIG ASS World Tour, marking the global superstar’s largest headline shows in the region to date.

Promoted by Live Nation, the four-date stadium run kicks off at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium on Friday 9 October before heading to Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium on Monday 12 October, Sydney’s ENGIE Stadium on Thursday 15 October, and concluding at Auckland’s Go Media Stadium on Wednesday 21 October.

The announcement follows a landmark run for Post Malone across Australia and New Zealand, including sold out arena dates in 2023 and headline performances at Spilt Milk across key regional markets. Today, conceptual band La Dispute announce local supports for their No One Was Driving the Car Australian headline tour, which will be hitting our shores October 2026. As one of the defining indie-rock bands of the 21st century, Death Cab for Cutie have spent the last 30 years defying every possible expectation.

Formed in 1997 in Bellingham, Washington, Death Cab for Cutie were initially the quintessential underdog college-radio act, anchored by co-founder, frontman, and lead songwriter Ben Gibbard’s achingly earnest, erudite (yet still accessible) lyricism that drew inspiration from ‘80s alternative tastemakers The Smiths, The Cure, second-wave emo progenitors Sunny Day Real Estate, lo-fi acoustic hero Elliott Smith, Northwest contemporaries Modest Mouse, and introspective rock heads Built To Spill.

Still, given the overwhelming cultural significance of the 2000s indie-rock scene, Gibbard (and his legions of young fans) had no reason to expect that DCfC, despite their instant-classic, magnetic, pop-curious melodies, would transcend this particular moment in time, one marked by a groundswell of mainstream interest in the once-tiny indie-rock subculture.

Nearly three decades after Gibbard recorded his bare-bones debut cassette, You Can Play These Songs With Chords, and completed the DCfC lineup comprising original guitarist and producer Chris Walla (later replaced by Dave Depper on guitar and Zac Rae on keyboards), bassist Nick Harmer, and drummer Jason McGerr, DCfC have grown from underground indie contenders to pillars of the modern alternative-rock landscape.

As DCfC get prepare to enter a new era, complete with a return to their indie roots by joining ANTI- Records and readying new music for 2026, Gibbard opens up about what inspires him to keep creating and evolving as an artist. “I just love the feeling of being in a room having just made something that I'm proud of. I can't imagine wanting to do anything else,” Gibbard says. “This is literally what I've wanted to do since I was 12 years old. And the fact that I've been given the opportunity to do it, I feel that I have an obligation to my 12-year-old self to continue to do this and find the joy in it, and to experience the odd wonder of what it's like to create things.”

It’s the news fans have been waiting for: following the release of his acclaimed fifth studio album, Deadbeat, Tame Impala – the visionary project of Kevin Parker – is returning to Australia, today announcing four huge arena shows in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth this October.

Kevin Parker has emerged as one of the most influential voices of the last decade. Marking a bold new musical chapter, Deadbeat (listen here) arrived in late 2025 led by three killer singles: ‘Loser’, ‘End of Summer’ and ‘Dracula’ – the latter earning Parker his biggest debuts yet at US radio, and landing in at number three on this year’s triple j’s Hottest 100, almost 20 years since Tame Impala’s first appearance in the poll. As a newly six-piece touring band, Tame Impala kicked off the Deadbeat tour with 12 sold-out shows across North America last October and November, with a UK/European tour set to begin this April. From July, Tame Impala will return to the USA and Canada, kicking off a huge area run featuring guests Djo and Dominic Fike.

Conceived across multiple locations over several years, Deadbeat was largely created between Fremantle and Parker’s studio, Wave House, in Injidup, WA. Deadbeat sounds like the work of an artist with a levelled-up mastery, crafted with a newfound embrace of spontaneity for the renowned perfectionist. How that manifests is a distinct minimalism and crunch, with timbres and textures that add an ineffably new dimension to the sound, as well as a richer, more playful vocal range than ever.

With a ‘Dracula’ remix featuring Jennie of BLACKPINK out now, February saw Parker awarded a GRAMMY for Best Dance/Electronic Recording for ‘End of Summer’ – his first solo win, following his 2025 trophy in the same category for ‘Neverender’, his collaboration with French dance pioneers Justice.

Joining Tame Impala on all dates is one of the most exciting names in Australian music right now: fast-rising electronic artist, songwriter and producer Ninajirachi.
